Apparently they have a vocabulary of around 150 words and no more, so they do understand a lot of the words you say. I know if I say to Zena, do you want a carrot, her ears prick up and she rushes straight to the fridge! If she comes a pestering when I'm flat out on the recliner, I tell her to go and kiss daddy and over she goes, pins him to the back of the chair and slobbers all over him! Maybe I've just got an exceptionally clever dog here though
