Dexter went into the garden this afternoon and after ten minutes I went to check that he wasn't eating twigs/demolishing next door's fence/etc etc.

I could not see him anywhere! I rushed round to the back of the garden, the yard part, but he wasn't there either! The back gate is secure and there are no holes in any fences, so it was a bit of a mystery....

....until I suddenly spied a pair of dark eyes gazing at me from the middle of some shrubbery right over the other side of the garden in the far corner:
