Ah glad it's not just me that thought Ginger might be a NSDTR!! Although maybe his head was a bit more collie.

I thought it was all very sweet and excellent for the general profile of rescue dogs.

Kinda thought that was going to happen, but it's lovely for the dog but would have liked to see more of his antics

Yup, I thought it was excellent too that he is keeping the Afghan.

Whether this is looked down upon or not, those dogs and the impression they will have made on the public in general can only be a good thing for rescue dogs. I did have my doubts to begin with before the programme aired but it proves that rescues (in the eyes of the general public) can be as homeable as a pup can be.

I liked the programme a lot and hope it boosts the plight of homeless and rescues.

As posted in the other Underdog thread;

For info on the CBBC Underdog show see here;

In this show it's kids rather than celebs that handle the dogs.

I thought it was good. It certainly shows people that not all dogs in rescues are demonic nutters and that with training they can be well rounded individuals. It didn't surprise me that the celebs would end up with the dogs, after all could you have a rescue dog, train t for at least 3 weeks then give it up?
This was just the first programme so you had bits in it like choosing the dog so maybe next week it'll have more on training practices but the judges were fair in their comments and pointed out the failings of the handlers.
Just a few points though, Bruno is no way a dachsie x shih tzu, his ears wouldn't stand up if that was the case as both dachsies and shih tzu's have drop ears, I reckon he's a dorgi (like the queen has!) and Ginger looks like a Toller! Robson clearly has GSD and Akita in him and I think he'd make a fab agility dog!
