Mmmmm I have googled Lizzie Dripping and all the references are far to recent to be the one my Gran was talking about. (you know how old I am!!!)

Nippy, I would have thought Lizzie Dripping referred to Lizzie Borden - and the dripping was the blood. She was accused of murdering her mother and father...
