Whoa they were strong cornflakes!

I went into the garden as usual to feed the birds after breakfast this morning and something large took off and flew over my head.
"That was a Pheasant!" I thought. With that another one came out of the hedge.
"Thats another f*****g Pheasant" I thought

Couldn't believe it, gabbed the camera but by then there was only the one on a neighbours roof.

Never seen that before, quite surprised!

We used to have our bird table by the fence......it had a little roof, so no access for pheasants or pigeons. Every year for three years, Phil Phez would come and stand on the fence then peck hard against the side of the bird table; this resulted in the food eventually gravitating towards him so that he could reach it. (Don't ask me what the scientific explanation of this is ).

He disappeared in the fourth year and no other pheasant seemed to know his trick.
