I’d have a problem with it too, happened to my daughter, and I was not impressed. I personally think it’s cruel & this is 2018 not the 1940/50’s!!

If a child is bursting to go to the loo they are hardly likely to be fully concentrating on the lesson. Counterproductive. It isn't a punishment I would impose on my children or grandchildren.

I am totally convinced the OP is a troll but I would never ever ever prevent a child from going to the loo - I am very un-pc and have no problem with smacking, but to stop a child from going to the loo except in a certain time period is totally ridiculous. When you need to go, you need to go - even if you are totally normal with no bladder or bowel upsets you cannot urinate or open your bowels to order - it makes me extremely angry to think that teachers are stopping children from going to the loo when they want to.

Doesn't seem very troll like to me, 4 posts in one thread and never been back. Doesn't really fit the definition tbh.

Either way IMO the OP is in effect a child abuser ... to deny anyone access to the loo is inhumane.

Well isn't that the point of the thread, to get people's responses. As some of us have said it happened to our kids at school, in the case with my son he was 6 and yes I took offence at the teachers actions. I would have thought these days they were more enlightened.
