thanks for the advice Joanne I'll probably leave the eyebrows until I'm taught how to do them (a WFT breeder and groomer who lives closer than Archie's breeder has kindly offered to give me lessons )

I think I'll leave the eyelashes for now though, they are so long and sweet! My mum would probably cry if I cut them, she says he looks like a transvestite with false eyelashes!!

I know how your mum feels, I love Olive's long eyelashes, and leave them for ages until they really need cut. What I would do for lovely long eyelahes like that.

Both my Boys get seriously alarmed whenever I approach their "south ends" with ANYTHING in my hand! Border Collies don't seem to like having their bums attacked with a wire brush! I'm just glad I've never had to use a Rectube on Snorri's epilepsy! The mind boggles!

Hi Tuti stripping a WFT and a Schnauzer is very similar technique and I can PM you a link to a Schnauzer site that explains how to both Strip and Roll a coat. this is a WFT grooming site
For the bit around the bum I use a pair of Hauptner hand shears, they are not electric, make no noise and are easy to use, you just keep them flat on the skin and trim against the grain. I have one pair that has been in use for 30 years. I use them of ears, the head and chest and bottom. this is what they look like ...

the ones in the middle they cost £30 and I can tell you a supplier if you want.
