ORIJEN dog food - what do you think?

What do you think about Orijen dog food?

Have any of you tried to give it to your dogs, before I was feeding my dog different brand and I realized his skin became a little bit dry, so vet recommended to change the food.

So after long research I have came across Orijen, read many positive reviews and decided to order, and my dog loves it and all dry skin condition is gone, his coat is shining like never before!

I also had a concern about a "wind" my dog sometimes gives... but i thought it might be from the yolk i give him, he gets it 5 times per week and also some treats

Do you give your dog any extra things which could cause it?
Where do you buy it from? Maybe I will find cheaper option than what I pay now?!

Looks excellent on paper, but not financially viable for me. I couldn't justify the cost of feeding it long term.

I think Orijen is the nearest I can get to raw food in a kibble; excellent quality.

Fortunately I only feed in emergencies and for training as I feed my dogs raw otherwise I would probably be living in a tent by now.

But dogs do well on a variety of products which is why there are literally hundreds of brands.

I have been feeding both my boys on Orijen for the past 3 months and it is the ONLY food I could find that really suited my dog who has allergies. They both love it, my (allergy) dog is putting on weight which he needs and now never scratches. His motions are totally normal and neither of them suffer from wind ..... thanl goodness
It is expensive, but I believe you get what you pay for. The only thing is that it took me a number of weeks to get the size of servings correct. I'm feeding only about 2/3rds what I was feeding with Burns.

It's worth asking your local pet shop for a discount. I did and always get 10% off when I buy. It's a good saving on Orijen. The shops are competing with online sales and are often willing to negotiate.
