Showline gsd's & WT

Just wondered how they tend to fair on the whole in WT, do they hold their own against working line?
I know alot depends on the dog(and handler) but im just talking in general terms...

Working Line GSD have not really been in WT until the last 5 years or so really.

They do about as well as showline anything else in WT, very few in TD stake, Jill Carruthers has one, (the affix escapes me at the moment), Tony Lockyer has a bitch which is mixed background and is the only GSD to win a ticket for a while............

Thanks for that SB...
Do you think there is a big difference in terms of their working ability when compared to working line..ie, if you can find their 'on' switch and put the hard work in, are they as capable as working line? or are working line in a league of their own?

I would not work a show line GSD if you paid me.

When I first started competing in WT I loved GSD, watching them put me off them completely.

Until I started going to a Schutzhund club and observed workline GSD.

Vom Kyna is her younger bitch, that is not a showline but a working line GSD bred by Chris Pilton, I was thinking of her older bitch which she rehomed but was from a well known show kennel.....................................

VomKyna Darca (Darcy) is lovely, I have judged her, again there are several from this kennel in WT.
