Rottweiler herding

Just thought I'd post a pic of rottweilers working with sheep (taken from a book of mine). Looks harsh, I know, but, despite being strict disciplinarians, they rarely injure the animals left in their trust.

Is there much opportunity in the UK to enter Herding Instinct Trials with dogs which are not traditional/recognised herding breeds?

Great pics Becs. The first one made me laugh

Rottweilers are very good hearding dogs, originally used in the middle ages to do just that. It's great to see a breed doing what they were intended to do
