I've only shown my Cavaliers under him.

All I will say is my dogs that I showed were sound & the critique he wrote on my dog(who was second & was a Blenheim)included"couldn't be handled on the table & refused to move Er no that was the 3rd placed Black & Tan & he called my dog a Ruby !!!

As for being a movement judge-certainly wasn't in Cavaliers that day-his CC winner was lame & the bitch judge insisted the bitch be BOB !

entering under a " non breed specialist" always makes for interesting judging

This is an old post now (2010) but seeing it again makes my blood boil. What the hell he's actually doing in the ring giving CC's to Border Collies when he's publically said he doesn't even like the breed is wrong to start with. Just another ego boost I guess. I didn't go under him after going under him at a Limit show. A small admittedly but a KC show none the less. He showed no interest whatsoever, didn't watch the dog move round, and placed me 5th saying "you'll do". Hence i vowed i wouldn't give him the "sh*t of my shoes let alone my money for an entry again. Totally the wrong type of person to have as a judge.

Ok, I understand this guy wasn't attentive and kind of non-commited, but can anyone show me a video of what a judge is supposed to do? I've only seen dog shows on TV and I admit never really paid attention to what the judges were doing...

My experience with dogs is in the shelter world, not the show world.
