ops: yes I thought you meant vomiting and you meant honking like a motor horn. Well we live and learn. In which case, as you have found out it is just the soft pallet and closing the nostrils to make the dog breath through it's mouth should stop it. BTW is he a Wire Haired Dachs.

Yes, he's a wire haired Dachshund. Smart lad isn't he?? Must get rid of the avatar though. Rather pink for my liking which has been kindly pointed out on here!

Hi Joe

My Dally does this, Thordell is quite right, covering the nostrils and making him breath through his mouth stops it.

Stay with the pink, it suits him

I'll give it a try. You do realise he'll think I'm trying to kill him and will sit in the corner staring at the wall for two days to 'punish' me.

he won't honk on command. He doesn't do it often but when he does I will block his nostrils quicker than you can say @I'm suffocating'. i'll let you know.

Or if Norman dies, I'll hunt you down :smt027
