Soda Streams..

Worth it or not?

I've been toying with the idea of putting it on my Christmas list to send to Santa (Mum) so I can save on getting fizzy drinks from the shops..

I shall watch this thread with interest. Dave has had an obsession with them for years (he had one as a child) and always goes on about getting one.

I was given one a long time ago and ended up throwing it away because the cartridges / refills are so expensive. So check what they cost first?

They cost about £60 + for the machine and the filters I've been told are like a tenner but make a lot of bottles..

I don't drink fizzy pop often but OH has a lot of cola and when we have parties or guests I'm figuring it would be cheaper..

We have one, I love it!
The co2 cartridge lasts a good while and the flavours are cheap enough IMO.

Certainly its more fun to have a big variety of flavours, than having to buy big 2 litre bottles. That way you can swap and change more and have a change.

Id reccomend them

My ex kept mine. I used to love it and didn't find it particularly expensive. Don't think I'd get any use out of it now though since I mostly drink water.

I always wanted one but have no idea why. Now I am glad I did not buy one as I rarely drink fizzies or sugared squash.
