Hiding from the storm ...

Well it seems that under mountains of pillows and blankets is the chosen safe place from fireworks but she will not come out from under the table now we've got a BIG storm brewing and constant rumbling loud thunder. P picked her up and hid her in her cushion pile on daybed but she went straight back under the table. So I shoved a bed under for her and she got in that and as her belly was cold from the tiles I threw a blanket over her.

She's still there. And oh BOY thank gawd it's just started pelting with rain. We've had a few of these 'threatening to' days and you just end up with a headache, sticky, airless and it goes away. But now it's chucking it down and it's the first rain since I can't remember when.

Well I love storms too - as long as they DEVELOP and don't just hang there giving me a headache and making it all sticky and airless and five minutes rain and sun comes out again. We desperately need rain here. Oh here comes the thunder again. She'd only just come out and she's gone back again now!



Gawd she's under the daybed now so I've put a little rug under there for her.

I empathise with you I like fireworks and thunder however I now have a dog who is scared of both so bittersweet really. I am sure Bella will find somewhere she is comfortable to be scared in.

Well it was jammed in behind me on a pillow with a blanket over her head until a short while ago. Dunno where she is now as I've got the lights off! But the storm has all 'stopped'. It just made it wet enough outside for me to quickly get the mop over the verandahs without needing a bucket of water.

Bella usually 'rides the mop' not this time tho!
