Lloyd, Staffie, 5-6 years old

Lloyd, Staffie, 5-6 years old

His Story:Lloyd was found stray in Wales in the New Year. His pound refused to put him sleep and somehow came up with excuses ... they were running out of these so contacted us to help.

Salient points: Lloyd is a calm older Staffie with short legs and a kind nature. He is in good health and waits out his days in kennels as though in a sanctuary!

Advert: Lloyd is about 5-6 years old, a Staffie with a calm, 'not in your face' character. He is a refined gentleman who will stroll rather than race; settle rather than flop; smile rather than laugh. An easier dog who would suit a quieter life style and tolerate being left, whilst enjoying walks and pottering duties. Lloyd is destined to become a favourite wherever he is. Even the other dogs lick their cages as he walks by!

Lloyd is cool, has an even energy, but no doubt once he appreciates being back in a home the twinkle will shine from his eyes again. If you are offered a lick ... you are indeed honoured and you will value his affection, as his love flows through his rather worried eyes. He travels well in the car and basically would be a traffic calmer to anyone hot under the collar in a 'jam'. Lloyd will soon find his special family ... can't wait to meet you!

“Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

An update from Antoine (volunteer):

"Lovely walk in the sunshine with Lloyd. As usual, Lloyd was perfect on the lead. We met 2 dogs that were off lead and came to say hello and Lloyd did not show any sign of aggression.

Poor lad seems to be quite stressed in his kennel, he even struggles to bark. Somebody gives him a chance, I know he will only please".

Lloyd gained a few more admirers today even though he is quite a serious chap & was not interested in a game with Jenna...

Lloyd's fitness condition could really do with some time off kennels! As usual, Lloyd is perfect on the lead. But after 25-30 minutes, his pace drops a bit, though he is quite happy to keep going. Lloyd seems to be quite a low maintenance Staffie. Someone is really missing out here...

And he is so cute as well...

Another update from one of our volunteer kennel walkers:

"Poor Lloyd can get very hot on a sunny day like today. So we walked a little bit and chilled out a lot ..."!
