Mudge, "Working" Lakeland, DOB 2002
Mudge, "Working" Lakeland, DOB 2002
Her Story Mudge was owned by an elderly man since a puppy. His health deterioration meant that he and Mudge moved in with his daughter with her 3 dogs and he has since moved into a nursing home. Mudge did initially very well, but has 'asserted herself' in the pack going in on a couple of occassions and so sadly she now needs to find her own home again.
Salient points Mudge is what is termed a "Working" Lakeland; as opposed to Show or Pedigree Lakeland ... that makes her a little more terrier and especially appealing to terrier lovers. Fine to be left for short periods.
Advert Mudge is middle aged and nicely rounded and grounded. She is great on a lead and good off lead once she knows her territory and is connected in with her people and distracted early on from obvious 'curiousities!' She mixes with children and enjoys toy play and knows basic commands. She loves other dogs, but has found it challenging to fall into to the son in-laws-pack. She had had a couple of goes with blood drawn on one occassion and so sadly the family feel she would be better living as a only dog again and mixing outside.
Mudge is a loving character who charms all who meet her. She will get you out and mixing with local folk, she'll tell you when the postman has come and she'll even tell you when its time for afternoon tea! She is neutered, chipped and a booster vax due. She is quite easy in terrier terms. She has just stated her case that she doesn't really want to be in a large pack when she has always had her humans all to herself ... "thank you"! Currently in Oxon.
