Bruno - 3 year old male Lurcher X Collie

Bruno, Lurcher X Collie, DOB 08 - Haywards Heath

Homing Requirements: Bruno would love a doggie experienced family. He can display throat noises when initially pulling on his lead. Bruno requires his own secure garden. Can be a little possessive of toys or comforts but is easily managed through offering attractive substitutes, needs non-confrontational management. Bruno in true Lurcher form can open internal doors. Could be an only dog or with another fluent dog. Not for cats.

His Story: Bruno was abandoned by his owners in kennels ... they just didn't come back. He moved into our care, endured a long period of kenneling, but is now enjoying foster care living with a lurcher x terrier and older children. Bruno is neutered, chipped and vax'd. He is house-trained.

Advert: Bruno is a character, always with a smile to greet you. He is a little opportunist with food, as lurchers can be, but is generally well mannered in the home. Bruno loves his walks, pulls only at the front of the walk and is off lead away from roads. Bruno enjoys the company of other dogs. Bruno is fostered with tweenagers and adores their company...and their cuddles. Bruno travels well in a car secured or crated.

Bruno is a lovely Lurcher x Collie a cross breed with heaps of character! Bruno is mixing with local dogs and has so enjoyed the summer. Fosterer's quote "A man's best friend, he is loyal, lovable, soft and cuddly, great on lead and off, has good recall and loves his food. He can bounce a ball and catch it himself. He loves to sleep downstairs. He is adorable and loves my dog Ziggy" He is Mr Magic - terrific dog”!

Bruno has been enjoying the hot weather in his fosterers pool no less! Bruno the collie gets a bit obsessed and he certainly has with the pool! He has taken to getting in the pool whenever he feels hot LOL!

Shocking as it is, Dad photographed Bruno in September last year! Yes, it almost a whole year ago! So to celebrate a years photography we wanted to capture him on camera again and asked Vicky to bring him down to the photoshoot.

If it's possible I'd say that he has grown even more beautiful ... judge for yourselves ...

An update from Bruno's fosterer:

"Thought I would give a quick update for Bruno since it's been a few weeks.

Bruno continues to be one of the family and adored by all, especially my mum who thinks his antics are very funny!

As you can see there are no rules in our house reference dogs on the furniture. The only rule is that they can sit where they like.

The photos show you how much Bruno is loved and how happy he is .... "
