Like it, but not as good as his shock collar video. That one was a classic

Oh, I love the beginning bit... I was thinking 'why is this guy showing us how to fill a bottle?!!'

I know someone who uses a rattle bottle on a reactive GSD... the dog is sooooo much worse now.

I use a bottle of pennys for phoebe. Have done for about 8 months but dont need it now. We have only used it for when she is manic and i cant get her attencion such as barking like mad at passers by or my window wipers. For us much better than shouting or spraying her with water. Treats were no help in these situations. Just one sharp shake and she stops the barking and then i give my command of sit or down or bed. Has worked wonders for us. Thinking of trying it for her reactive behaviour outside of house or car but im giving that issue a break at moment as its getting me fustrated and a bit down

Just want to add phoebe is in no way scared by the bottle i give 1 shake she stops and looks at me. For us its a way of getting her attencion when shes manic and she was getting manic alot and very quickly we tried everything over the window training, treats, removing her from room trying to distract her so i tried this and it worked and were now all a lot calmer and dont have to leave curtains closed during the day

Oh Duh! How stupid am I! I started to watch the vid thinking anything like that would only make my dog worse staying calm and consistent works best with mine blah blah.

Then he said 'fill it right to the top' and I am sat here thinking 'how the hell is it gonna rattle if it is filled right up?'

Then he said 'when you've finished it should look something like this' and I thought 'is he stupid or what?'

Then ..... Duh - I geddit!

Oh well back to checking flightstats and praying that this flight I am waiting on ain't gonna be much more delayed - I wanna go to bed!

I used to love training with Nando (up until he moved to Spain) it was hilarious, he's so on my wavelength & has a great sense of humour.
Love his videos....he also has a radio show (you can listen online) on Saturday mornings...this week he interviewed Grisha Stewart.

I am spending two days with Grisha this weekend on her BAT seminar, I am SO looking forward to this!

Reading books is one thing, observing techniques in action is even better.
