So happy with Mia today

Been working hard with Mia on her recal and keeping her calm and stuff
But really she hasnt seen many dogs over the winter - they all were hibernating

Took her to the beach today

First dogs we met on the narrow paths were 2 offlead collies with a jogger
Mia froze in place and let the dogs pass her, said hello to the jogger - then went zooming off to run with the dogs

Nice that she was friendly - but going the wrong way

Stupidly called her back - while she was in mid zoom with a collie
and
She turned and ran back full pelt

For the rest of the walk she was pretty polite meeting many dogs (she does collie stalk with lots of eye to start with - but it gives me and Ben time to go greet so she can decide they are friendly and catch up and say hello)
She played with so me dogs, sniffed others and ignored others (amazing!) and every time I called her she came back full pelt

What a good girl!

Thankyou guys
I am so happy with her. She is still stressed with dogs on the street, but can cope at a bigger distance, and is more stressed around the house, but she hasnt had a total meltdown in a v long time

Fantastic ~ well done to you both. Just shows that training, patience & kindness do get fab results . And the more positive interactions she has, the better it will get!
