skinners
CSJ
Autarky
Wainwrights

The above are three foods that IMP are better than Wag and tesco's food and are relatively cheap.

Look for as little added additives as possible.

Agtee with suggestions in the above post -

With better quality foods, although they often appear more expensive you infact usually feed less. Cheap foods are bulked out with cereals and grains which the body doesn't use as readily.

On some foods you only need to feed 100 grams per 10 kg of body weight.

Suggestions:
Wainwrights
Jwb
Skinners
Even lathams (I think it's called - the tesco 'natural' one) is probably better than standard tesco or wagg dry foods.

They are all mainly natural and will probably contain less additives / colorings than the 2 foods you listed (although would have to look up ingredients, am only on my phone ATM)

You could look at Wainwrights; it's the Pets At Home own brand so as they sell it directly, it's somewhat less expensive than other, comparable foods.

As someone else mentioned, sometimes with a more expensive food, as the quality is better, you end up feeding less, so it doesn't end up being that much more money-wise.

Id suggest autarky, simply because I feed it to my 3 and they thrive on it. Its relatively cheap too! I pay about £12 for 15kg, which last quite a while.

Why do you think your dog is "hyperactive"?

True hyperactivity is extremely rare.

There are many dog foods out there, I do not know the cost of them as I feed raw and only use two brands for emergency use and they would be too expensive for you.

I am not sure what a "natural" food is? Last time I looked the ingredients for dog foods were "natural" as opposed to being synthetic??

As dairy food and cereals can have opiate like effects on some individuals (any animal) you may find it difficult to select a food without either at a price you can afford.

JWB, Burns, Arden Grange are all good foods.

You wont beat Wainwrights for price & quality.

Wainwrights isnt owned by PAH, its an independent company. PAH did a deal withthem to sell their foods exclusively
