Scabbed nose

Hey my husky/akita mix dog has a scab on his nose that doesn't seem to be healing well. He is 2 years old and sunbaths in the yard a lot. Although he is an inside dog he is in the yard a lot. The nose turned pink this winter which I find normal, one he was scratched chasing our bunny and that never seemed to heal well. Turning this winter months a new scab has appeared related or not. It could be a burn, a scratch, a fungus? A bacterial infection? I haven't found anything online that looks similar. It doesn't seem to bother him. I'm currently putting balm on it for dryness and ointment for healing.

I think that a vet would be the best person to ask about your dog's nasal lesion.

I was hoping there might be some expert advise here, thank you for your concern I'll get some vet recommendations for my area. I wasn't impressed with total bond when he went there for his puppy shots.

Again thank you.

The problem with noses is they lick off anything you put on and the stuff they ingest may not agree with them. So a vet is best so that they can give anitbiotics if needed. He looks a lovely doglet.

The vet didnt seemes too concerened about it, probably bc its doing a lot better now! I think it's just sensitive to the cold and the sun. We have been keeping him in more and putting an ointment on it and the scab is completely gone. I'm going to continue to put sunscreen on it when he is out in the yard. Thanks for the input.
