A Postitive Review

Luke had his Review today as you all know he's statemented for SEN.It was his final one.School are just wishing they had,had him there for another year to push him a little further.
Anyway it was really positive with alot of good progress made.School think he will get a GCSE in Maths & NVQ in Food Studies, which is fantastic

On the not so good points he still stuggles with English, all aspects, reading, writing & spelling.School brought in an extra teacher for this subject & she has said Luke has severe Dyslexia tendancies,I said this from the age of 5 when he first started school, but as usual with Teachers not one listened and it's been along time coming, for them to admit it.Subjects he finds difficult are "boring"

We had people present from connextions who are brill, there was a lady from the college Luke is hoping to go to,they have suggested he does a Foundation level course, where he can still carry on with his learning supported, but involving Catering. So they are going to be setting up a meeting for Luke & us to attend, like an open day but on a smaller scale. He seems to be very pleased with the idea.
So everything seems to be going along nicely and hopefully the move from school to college will be a smooth one.

Oh & Luke thinks it's great he's going to get paid an allowance of £30 per week with a bonus incentive of £100 per term for 100% attendance
