Can anyone recommend a harness for this situaion please?

Hello, Sorry, this is going to be a long post as I want to set the background.
I have recently - 6 weeks ago - taken on a rescue dog - private rescue not from a shelter situation. She is dog and people aggressive due to not being socialised properly, nervous aggression.
I am having some help addressing this but am going to read the BAT information.
My problem is, I trade at events some weekends. Obviously, having a dog like this is not an ideal situation for her but by the time I found out, it was too late. Had I have known, I would not have taken her on but don't want to send her for rehoming elsewhere as I don't want her to end up being passed from home to home until she gets put down. I am prepared to work on her to try and overcome the problems. At home, she is the most loving of dogs and so obedient, its just outside that she turns into a devil dog.
Anyway, my problem is at the events I do. I have just taken her to her first, bit of a nightmare really.
I camp in my van, my dogs in the past and this one, have always slept in my van with me, in their own bed. I have an awning which goes on the side of the van which acts as a stockroom and kitchen as I am at the events for a few days.
I have to fasten her to the side of the van, she is on a tie out cable which is 10ft, this allows her to either settle on a bed in the awning or come outside where she has another bed. I put wind breaks up so she is sheltered from people/dogs trying to say 'Hello' but I left a little gap so she could still see people moving around and hopefully get used to seeing them - as an afterthought, not sure if that helped or not. I also took her out the front sometimes and just let her sit watching the world go by from a distance.
I had a Mekuti harness on her which I attached to the front ring but she was constantly pulling on it and it rubbed around her armpits.
I know its not ideal to have her fastened like this, but I really have no choice, I have to take her. I am worried that if I fasten her with an ordinary collar, she may slip it and attack a dog or person. Can anyone recommend a better harness for doing this, one that will not chaffe?
Please, don't be judgemental, I am doing my best!!
Thanks in advance.

A Boxer, so quite strong!!
I've had the breed before, in fact this is my 7th, 3 of which were rescues. This one is so aggressive though when she sees dog's and also people if they try to make friends. She will play with non aggressive dogs when loose in a controlled environment but gets dominant. Thanks, I'll have a look.

Sounds like you are doing a great job with this dear boy.
I agree with Dibby re http://www.dog-games-shop.co.uk/
I have had them for 3 dogs now, a Collie x, a Greyhound x and now Pepsi the JRT.
They come in all sizes and can be adjusted.
Good luck and keep us posted with how you get on.

Thanks, I have had a look at those links and have sent a query to them to ask if they think it would be suitable. I need something that will hold her safely but not rub. I can't leave her with anyone as she is so aggressive at trying to get the lead out of your hand when she sees other dogs etc. she would frighten a lot of people. She luckily doesn't frighten me as I have had a previous rescue much worse than her. At home she is lovely, even outside when there is nothing/no one in sight but a totally different dog when dogs are about. I can get her to walk past people now, which I couldn't when I first had her, she tried to lunge at them, but she is nasty when they try to make friends. Even giving them treats to give her - which I have to say I'm not a fan of - once she has taken the treats from their hands, she reverts to lunging and snapping at them, she has even rolled over for them to tickle her tummy, then suddenly jumped up growling and then lunged. I really don't want to give up on her but she is a real challenge.

Bearing in mind her breed and size and more importantly the fact she's both dog and human aggressive, I'd advise rather than buying the normal harness you looked for one for tracking or schutzhund. I'm sure you're aware that by taking her to events you're exposing her to an incredibly stressful situation and whilst your attention is elsewhere she could very well attack another dog or human. Have you thought how you're going to prevent this happening ... a muzzle would certainly also be on my list together with a broad collar with a handle on the back, so I could grab it if needed.

As for training as well as BAT training I'd find a trainer who understands and practices CAT (Constructional Aggression Treatment).

A boxer! Blimey

You could always have two harnesses , one for walking and one for tethering. D oes your van have air conditioning . it might be better if she was enclosed inside and not have access to the outside .

Glad there has been some improvement. At this stage you do not want people trying to make friends . Shes not ready for that . Its best if they ignore her and you give the treats as they are passing not too close . keep a distance if you can.

Its a stressful situation for both of us but one I can't avoid. She is shielded from people and dogs and to be honest, I don't think she would actually bite, we have introduced her to dogs in a controlled situation and she really just wants to play but lunges at them, loose, she will play but gets dominant. A human would have to go behind my barriers to get anywhere near her, she has limited room to get to anyone. I doubt that anyone would be stupid enough to approach too close to a dog which was growling and I am near enough to see and hear.
Forgive my ignorance but why is a tracking harness different? I don't know anything about them.

No the van does not have air conditioning and it wouldn't be practical to have her shut in it all day. She can only get a couple of feet outside the awning, enough to get on her bed and walk about but not long enough to get anywhere near the windbreaks I put up to shield her.
She can go in the awning where she is completely shielded if she wants to get away.
