It was a good watch.
I loved the operation on the horse [warning - not for the squeamish]. Funny how I can't bear to watch Casualty which is made up, but I find horse intestines quite interesting

Lovely moment when the horse's owner came to visit, with her little girl, just a toddler - who was singing to the horse

Remind me never to have Alpacas. "Yes, I am a bit smelly," their owner said, deadpan, after she had been liberally sprayed with alpaca faecal spit; "And it does tend to linger."

I had to go out at this point, but was back home to see the end - and the pig owner did come across as a bit eccentric, but if I owned a pig like hers, I could get that way too... he was a real character and soft as butter.

Rolf narrates; there's none of the schmaltzy "Sadly, the little guy didn't make it" stuff of Animal Hospital, it's more gritty than that. Looking forward to the next 5 episodes which promise to be as varied and oddly gripping as the first.

hehe yup it kinda put me off Alpacas too!!

Bakewell the pig was gorgeous, I used to care for an Iron Age pig, called Rust, I loved that pig, she was such a character .

I really enjoyed it too - couldn't believe the owner of the obese dog who said she had raided their other dog's food bag - but still ate her own food! Would you feed an obese dog who had already stolen more than she should eat?

Just watching it now...that bull terrier is so fat!!
