Sorry Rune I was not having a pop at YOU or ANY individual, rather thinking out loud.

As for "losing the donation" I cannot see why that is a problem, as of course the kennel is not going to remain empty for long, so there will be a donation from the next dogs.

Obviously breed rescues cannot take ALL of them on (SBT for example) but where they CAN I think it makes sense (to this old fart anyway)

I think its fair enough to not support something that you have problems with

But i totaly dont agree with some of the hassles MT's has got
Shutting them wont stop a single puppy farmer

I think its all too easy for people to stand up and say 'this is what should be done' But the difference is the MT's people saw things and thought something needed to be done and are doing something
If we think things should be done differently then perhaps instead of trying to have a go at them we should be doing the things that we feel need done

Yes PF's need sorted out
But I beilieve the dogs deserve some happiness while we are waiting for the laws to change, none of it is their faults

Why is it ridiculous? It's a transaction.

IMO they would find other ways of getting rid of the dogs. Look at how long the greyhound bloke got away with shooting them and dumping them.

Are you saying those ex breeding dogs don't deserve the chance of a life?

No buts or ifs or maybe's here---either they do or they don't.

I think they do.

But he got caught And the risk of getting caught will always put people off - to some degree.

Let them _choose_ to break the law. Let them _choose_ to be cruel to animals... and let the law catch up with them, put them in jail and throw away the key.

Let's not make things easy for them, let's not aid and abet them.

Does any dog deserve the chance of life? Of course it does - but lets not forget who is taking that away from them - the puppy farmers, not the rescues.

Because you imply that "general" rescues (MT in this case) don't hand over dogs to breed specific rescue because they want sell the dog themselves. Do you really think they're in it for the money?
