Flynn & Mav Crufts 2010 Thread

Both Boys have been Chosen To be in The welsh Team, For the Crufts world Cup Obedience Competition, (On the Sunday) Flynn Will Be competing (Along with Team Mates wendy & Gryff & Heather & ranger) & im Proud to say my Little Boy will be reserve!

Im very Proud.

Theres another Team Comp on the Thurs that one of them May be picked for, But i dont think so, as flynn is too Naughty & Mav isnt that Experinced at the Level hes now Competing at, So i think a more Experinced Dog May be picked for that. I dont mind either way, But will Up date this thread when i know either way.

Im going to try to keep this thread going with a world cup Training Diary, & if any one wants to come & say Hi on the day etc!!!!!

RightyO

The World Cup Tests Are Different to Normal UK Obedience, this is to add bits of other types of obedience from other Countries.

HW, with Changes of Pace, Normal, Slow & fast. No Extra Commands.

Retrieve over Hurdle This is one of the New exercises for Us. Command to Send & thats it!!!!, Jump Over Get Dumbell & Jump also on Way back

Sendaway Send dog to markers, Drop on Command (or sit Handlers choice) & wait with no extra commands until recalled into HW. So basically i can say," go........ down.........close"

Distant Control This is different to our DC as ours is without the recall! In the WC version we have to Leave, Turn, Call Approx half way, Stop into a postion (One command) & then do four Positions on that spot, then return to that dog. I find the stop Hard, This year we know that we will be stopping in the Down

Directed Retrieve This is a different Exercise too. £ dumbells will be out in a line, & one will get chosen from a hat, dog has to ignore the other two & get the one chosen, We can point & Face the dumbell but NOT over handle or redirect once sent! Its HARD eso with eyey collies!!!!!

StaysOut of Sight Sit Stay

Scent as a "B" Scent, Handlers Scent on a cloth, amongest Decoys & Neutrals
