Birds!

I've been practicing my photography skills on birds, of late... I've managed to get some decent shots!

A Red-Winged Blackbird singing to his mate

Canadian Geese having a tiff

A Duck... I need to go look up what it's called

A Mallard

A Robin (looks nothing like the Robins you all have over there!)

What do you all think? I've been playing with Aperture... now that I know what it does

Blimey, your pics here are getting almost as good as our Dawn and rik's!! Brilliant shots there Sara

The blackbird is soooooooo gorgeous with it's red wings, the grasses have come out well in the geese pic, and that duck picture is superb with all the detail, even that red eye! You're doing well, better than me, I just leave mine on auto and hope for the best lol!

Lovely shots! I don't think we have red winged blackbirds over here and our robins do look completely different! I wish i was as good with the camera, they are brilliant pictures.

We have Yellow-Headed Blackbirds as well! which are just as gorgeous... but I have yet to see one this year.

As well as plain ol Blackbirds.

they're really noisy, and you always know when you're near a slough as you can hear them a mile away (exaggeration)

thank you all, I really didn't think they were that great...

but I was sorta impressed with my amature pics (I did just figure out what apariture is! (and I dont think I can spell it either LOL)

and birds are so gorgeous, it's fairly easy for them to turn out, I think.
