Is there a difference between human clippers and dog clippers

I need to buy some clippers so that I can give Benji a trim because he looks a mess and is very hot and it will be about 3 weeks before I can get him in the groomers.

Is there a difference between human clippers and dog clippers? Argos do some dog clippers but they are out of stock at all the outlets. They do some for humans for the same price and they are Wahl clippers (which I think also make dog clippers ) and I just wondered whether they would be as easy to use as the doggy ones or should I wait until the doggy ones are in stock

We used to clip our cavalier's belly with human clippers... I still have them and shave my own head with them from time to time

But I think with clippers you have to get good ones, and be prepared to pay good money for them. It's like scissors, if you buy cheap ones, they will go blunt in a few weeks, whereas good quality ones will last a long time

This site has clippers on it and I think there are some on offer

Edit: Forgot to say I think you can change the blades for different areas on dog clippers... dunno if you can do that with human ones

Sorry everyone, you are right I did ask this question - wheres that bloomin Van gone -think it had better call for me too I had completely forgot I had asked. I remember asking my initial question about how easy it was to clip them but not the other one

I would rather get them from a shop though because I don't understand ebay at all and if anything is wrong with them you can just take them back to a shop. The ones I was going to get was Wahl ones (for humans) and had about ten different combs with them and scissors etc.
