Puppy not eating as much

Our 14 week old CKCS puppy has been doing well with her food, until a couple of days ago. We're down to 3 feeds a day, 7am, 1.30pm & 7.30pm. She barely picks at her breakfast, maybe having 2 mouthfuls then doesn't bother with it. She'll eat about half of her dinner and all of her tea. We leave her food down for a max of 30 minutes and if she hasn't eaten it we take it away. We thought by doing this with breakfast, she'd be ready for lunch, even then she doesn't eat all of her lunch. Could it be the hot weather that is putting her off her food? She's still as lively and active as before, and doesn't seem generally under the weather.

I thought it might be too soon to put her on 2 feeds a day? she's only been on 3 for just over a week.

Do you feed her different amounts at different meals? Does she get treats etc. between meals? Puppies have very small stomachs so they need to be 'topped up' regularly to keep their energy levels, etc. up. If you are feeding varying amounts then measure the total daily allowance and divide it into three equal portions.

She has 3 equal portions. My main worry was her going from her tea at about 7.30pm/8pm round to breakfast, but not wanting breakfast then waiting til dinner - just seems to be an awfully long time to go without food.

She has picked up today, and had her breakfast at 6.30am! She had a schmako at about 11am, then dinner at 1.30pm and a pedigree tubo at 6pm, she's just tucking into dinner now - left it later because she's had tib-bits whilst training this evening.

I think it may have been due to the weather that she didn't fancy all her food, so we'll see how she goes.

Thanks for the advice folks.
