Help with garden layout

Hi

We live in a rural area,our garden is on the side,but have a large area between the cottage and the garden.Would like to build a dog-run for 2 Belgian Terv,has anybody out there got any ideas pictures etc,we are not allowed to put up fences,on the side where the garden is over 1metre,which as it is a busy A road would be easy for the terv's to jump thanking you crystalgirl

Crickey, 1 metre, that's not very high. Our local authority allow a 6' fence as long as its set back from the road. My male GSD can jump a 5 bar gate no problem so I can see your concern. If it is only 1 metre could you put a trellis on top? Could you use a taller fence if it was chain link (i.e see through) and then plant conifers or bamboos against it?

Might be worth having a chat with your L.A. and do a reccy to see what other people have done.

Id go with a solid 1 meter fence then add a strong trellis onto the top of that, we used to live on a main road so this is what we did. You can get trellis from 1 foot all the way unto 8 foot so you could have it as high as you wanted.
