It just brilliant.

If you like standard Scream type horror then The Village certainly won't appeal. Its a psychological thriller - not a gorefest. If you go looking for horror then you will be disappointed, but if you go with an open mind and sit back and enjoy you will be transfixed. There are some genuinely frightening moments - one scene in the woods had gasps from the audience and a few pulses racing.

The cinematography is great, the casting is brilliant, I wouldn't even let my OH eat his popcorn because it was too distracting and I was enjoying it so much.

I thought it was awesome. Not disturbing, scary...eerie... very clever...
