They can run up??? I thought that they could not,in all the videos i watched most dogs did not have a run up??? Oscar may be able to make the long jump if he has a big enough range for running up to it
Well i wont know what he can do until i start,i am going to get wood and build a long jump and i already have a clear jump

Hey!!!
Getting on just fine. Oscar is currently jumping a clear jump of 70cm so i dont think he will have any trouble with 3ft at all!!
He is jumping a 5ft long jump so far but we are working our way up to 6ft.
We currently dont have a scale but i am making plans on how to build one and getting some wood soon too!!

Search squares are going good too,but oscars having some trouble actually retrieving the article without being told to do so,ie he will find an article and stare at it but unless i say 'bring' he will leave it there (he doesnt do it all the time but its getting more frequent) So if you have any help to offer on that it would be great.

I am hoping to work on send away and redirect soon so if you have any tips on that too please share them

Other than that all is going well, couldnt have asked for better really!!!

Brilliant stuff.

I have drawings for a scale if you want me to email them to you.

Good work on the retrieve, you may also want to work on the hold, i.e. holding the article. Get the dog excited about articles first though

Sendaway...could write a book! First step would be to get the dog excited over the typical sendaway markers which are normally traffic cones or electric fence poles.

Oscar does hold the article for as long as required he will get the item, bring it back and sit(or lie down if i ask) in front of me and hold until told to give.It i place my hands down flat on my thighs he will come as close as possible and look up at me while holding the article

I will use a traffic cone, oscar has had plenty of bad experiences lately with electric fences when we go on our walks.

Yeah if you could email the scale drawings to me that would be great!!!! I have a few ideas of my own but i dont know how easy it would be to build
