Just had a phone call from what may be a scam from the "halifax fraud dept" . Now me being me I am very suspicious. Looked up the phone number and some say scam other say genuine. So will get sue to ring the number on the back of the card when she get home.
Worse still it was an automated call , so beware if you get the same on

Do not reply to it check your contact on your card and ring that instead

I have had three Inland Revenue e-mails telling me to collect my refund. I phoned Inland Revenue who told me they never e-mail individuals re refunds. So for the third time I have deleted it.

Thanks for the tip. We have been fairly lucky here, maybe down to the fact I don't do a lot of internet shopping or partake in the spotty boy wonders book of the face thing

Well spotted Moyra, it is still annoying that they can get right into your computer via e-mail.


I am becoming more and more disilliusioned with these so called IT experts, they are NOT getting on top of the problem and they are loosing out to the fraudsters.
