i cant wait any more!!!!...shona you are right ..it was used in the late 1800s for churning butter and a dog was used to power it....good one!

this was in item i found at historical site near my area...2 dogs for 8 hours would get enogh butter for 5 famalies for the winter months....i know of a couple of dogs that could use this too.....phil

What a brilliant idea!

Going to send my OH out to buy some wood and get making butter. I'm sure I'd be able to sell it to farm shops.

Butter churned by dogs - great selling point
