AliceandDogs I have a soft spot for fully tailed dobies too

Olly, I've heard a few people say they look less intimidating with their tails - perhaps it's because we don't get to see the full waggy tail when they're docked? I for one, prefer to see my Eddy wagging his tail in a huge side to side motion that just a little at the base with the rest of it still (as it looks uncomfortably intimidating) - which, I suppose is what a docked dog's tail looks like (at least to those who don't own them)

I dont have any photos to add (having Red Setters, Golies and a Pug), but I think they all look wonderful with their tails!

I must admit to being 'unsure and confused' ( and basically not knowledgable) as to whether docking is needed in the working dogs. But as pets or show dogs, I dont think they need to be docked.

Sorry waffled on, and this was a photo thread!

I wasn't sure about it all, always been on the fence but they have such gorgeous tails that it seems such a shame to cut them off!

Thanks!:smt001 That's so dumb though. lol That they would dock a beagle because they like the look of the doberman. Why not just get a doberman? lol That's weird...

Being honest when I first glance at a dog with a partially docked tail, my first thought is the dog looks deformed

Undocked Rottweiler at 18 months. Her tail set is incorrect, but I don't care.

If we are being honest here, i reckon the dobes have came off the worst.Imo they look like black and tan greyhounds.
