I gave up on doing Dougal's nails too...and stopping him taking his flying leaps at me for cuddles...

Letting Zeke on the bed, I tried to hard to not let him up, but then he got cancer and I just can't do it to him, those eyes when he stands resting his chin on the edge of the bed.....

I let Cherry jump up at me. She does it when I come home from work and does this big Kerry smile at me and I love it! I had small dogs before and she can reach up to my middle when she jumps up. The problem is I can't then tell her off for jumping up at me when on a walk with muddy paws!

She has never attempted to jump up at anyone else though-just me.

It's funny isn't it, our female only jumps up at my Paul, right up, paws on shoulders all the time, yet she doesn't jump up at anyone else, not me at all, they must know you love it, Keisha certainly knows Paul does!

The only thing I gave up on (although actually I did not really start it) was getting one of my dogs to stop rolling in fox poo.

My view is that if it is important to me I train it, if it is not, I don't.

But as dogs see things in black and white they know, like my daughter, that NO means NO and so I avoid issues.
