Where do you live?

Morning all

I am just curious as to where everyone lives? The reason for bringin this up, is I noticed Fred comes from Mallorca - and I dont have a clue where that is.

I thought we could all say where we live, and tell everyone a little bit about it.

I know the majority of people are in the UK, but some of us arent, and would like to learn something.
What makes where you live unique etc.


I live in South Africa, the bottom most country of Africa - hence it is SOUTH...
I live in the province Gauteng (would love to hear you all pronounce that, the G is at the back of your throat.)
We have the most fantastic weather here. Summers are beautiful, a little too hot at times. Winters can get very cold, but it VERY SELDOM snows, which makes the cold a little useless.
We do have a major crime problem, but I think it is slowly going to get better. I have decided to be positive about my country, as so few are.
I dont personally live near the coast, but go on holiday every now and then to the most amazing beaches. We have everything from the mountains (Drakensburg) to the beautiful Cape Town beaches (not great weather there though)

Cant think of anything else to say about SA at the mo.

Oh, and we have the best fruit and its cheap as is meat

i live in Havant just outside Portsmouth ....right on the south coast of the uk
its a busy city full of naval history lord Nelson's boat the Victory is docked here..

i live in loughborough, in the midlands. in the uk. it isn't really interesting but i have always lived here, so i know my way around really well, which is good for me becuase im useless at geography
