I don't know, they were playing the film on the plane on the flight out and as I hadn't read the book yet, I avoided the film and it wasn't showing on the return flight

i think its one of those things that it would be bad if it didnt end the same way as the book but in a way you dont want it too !!!

I think it does from the snippets I've seen, but if I'm going to read the book and see the film I always want to read the book first never the other way around.

i'm reading The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman.

this is the 3rd book in the trilogy ( Golden Compass)

the books are so much better than the film, which scratched the surface.

A must read!
