Oral thrush - any suggestions?

Hi,

I have a problem, I think I have oral thrush Does anyone know of any treatment for it, apart from seeing the doctor, what about mouth rinses with Corsodyl mouth wash or whiskey?

Any advice will be grateful.

Ian

Hi Mini,
I thought that live yoghurt might work, I will get some tomorrow.

I dread to think how they found out that it also works on woman's problems too

When I was ill, oral Thrush was a side effect of the drugs I was on.
My doctors recommended Corsodyl mouthwash.
I can't use things like that though (have a fear of choking), so I just put up with it lol

Hi,
Well this morning my mouth was very sore, so I made an appointment with the nurse, I asked if there was anything I could buy to treat it (Trying to help out the NHS) she had a look and called the doctor straight away (He was on his lunch break) and he took a look and said 'Oh, you need something strong to shift that' so they have given me a course of tablets to take - 1 a day for 7 days, hopefully this will help, if not I have to go back again.

I daren't eat or drink it is so painful. But I got some live yoghurt which has calmed it down a bit.

Ian
