Wednesday 1st March 2023

Morning all. A start of a new month and a new day and I hope it brings good news to you Chris and for Rosie. Barry hope they sort out the problems for you and Sue. My friend Margaret is still poorly so won't be seeing her till probably next week. Was frosty again this morning and the forecast says maybe snow showers next week and why not as it is still only early doors. Have a good day all.

Good afternoon all

Had a call from the vet about half an hour ago asking for the go ahead to remove 4 teeth as the lump is far more extensive than thought. The vet said she is 'worried' so it looks very much like the histology lab tests will show that not good news

I've had my first meltdown, but now I'm determined that whatever the outcome, my little girl will continue to live her best life for however long we have her. I just want her home now

She said that will will be able to get a lot of it, but where it is (in front of and under her teeth at the front of her bottom jaw and probably further back too) they won't be able to get it all. I'm hoping to get the call in another hour or so to bring her home where she can be more comfortable

She's home and quite well considering.

She's eaten her Butchers (vet said it was OK), but I did mix in a little water and mushed it up to make it easier for her. She's drinking for England and has already had 6 wees since she came home (most of them in the first hour)

Histology results should be in either Saturday, or, more likely, Monday.

She is feeling a bit sorry for herself tonight, but that is to be expected.

She's been switched onto Metacam from the Caprodyl Quadri as Metacam has shown to be highly effective for oral problems. Whether it will be as good for her arthritis has yet to be seen, but, fingers crossed it will be.

Now, we play the waiting game and spoil her rotten while we do

I think Sue will agree Metacam is very good for arthritis, we used it on one of our Afghans and it seemed to help

We both had an email saying our new pasports are being printed so at least we did everything right when applying to renew.

It's good to have a personal point of view on Metacam for arthritis. Thanks TW
