New Camera/DSLR - German Shepherd and the Cats

After years of wishful thinking and months of searching, I finally have a DSLR! Bought a used Nikon D90 with under 2,000 shutter actuations in absolutely PRISTINE condition. Honestly not a single thing blemish or fault, and I absolutely love it. Still depending on the automatic settings, will be studying the manual closely, can't wait to finally figure it out.

But for now, I wanted to share a few shots. LOTS of things I'm doing wrong, but haven't even begun learning yet and wanted to have a bit of fun first.

Trent is happy about the new camera, too

Mostly because he gets rewarded for posing

Guard dog posing

But that's awfully hard work

So we take a break

Then Trent turns on the Puppy Look to the max and asks if we can head out

Of course I oblige

He's still required to pose, though

Then he gets to run!

And pose again

And even at home

"...please let me get that treat you just threw"

His favorite giraffe toy, torn up and restitched more times than I can remember

No longer so sure about this whole new camera thing his human got

But then we move inside again!

The resident kitten makes her appearance

As does Bree

Flipping for belly rubs

Raina and Bree pretend to be friends

Really like this picture of Raina

Meanwhile Trent is grateful that I've found other subjects to shoot

Done! Thanks for looking at the huge photodump
