[Dog News] Japan airline's ban on bulldogs

A Japanese airline has banned bulldogs from all its flights after a number of them died while in transit.

The airline JAL says the breed is particularly vulnerable to high temperatures, and will not be allowed on domestic or international flights.

This could be quite an issue in Japan. If the way that some Brits "mother" their dogs bewilders me, the lengths that many Japanese dog owners go to leaves me completely stunned.

It's not unusual. many airlines won't fly Bull nose breeds, also the PUG. I spoke to a lady recently who was supposed to me emmigrating to Australia and has now cancelled because she cannot take her 3 Pugs !
