A Good day for the Hounds

I took Lily and met a couple of others with their greyhounds at Tesco today to do a meet and Greet outside, to raise funds for the greyhound rescue and to hopefully find homes for some of the homeless hounds.
We raised just over £284 and had a lot of interest in the homeless hounds, so hopefully one or two may find their forever home from it.
All in all it was a succesful day. Lily is now totally zonked out. She loves doing the meet and greets but getting all that fuss is very tiring you know

Well done that's a brilliant amount to raise and hopefully some homes too. It must be quite exhausting!

That's fantastic, well done to you and to Lily. We sometimes have the Greyhound Rescue people here, and they lie happily on their vet beds or blankets until someone comes along to make a big fuss of them - I always feel like settling down with them for a big long cuddle!

You raised a fantastic amount, and from what I have seen here, people are very moved by the dogs and tend to give generously. I have to walk away hurriedly if one or more have those words on their jackets......you know......."I am looking for a home" I would if I could
