'well trained pup'

did some lead work with indie today, first time in ages. Anyway with the help of cheesestrings and back to clicker training i had her walking by my side watching me. With me keeping her attention by saying 'oh good girl, good heel, oh good heel, ohhhhh u want this? gooood heel', lmao. Anyway, the kids were about to leave school so there was a long line of parked cars outside the school and everyone in their cars were smiling.lol. Its not often u see a dog round here not pulling let alone a staffie. Anyway, she doesnt normally do this for me, jus today i was using extra special treats and she hadnt had breakkie.

doesnt it make u feel so good when people are smiling at u and ur 'well trained dog' even if they arent really well trained, jus bribed.lol. makes it all worth it

Do you find clicker training easy Jenny?

Teagan is usually well trained, but lately she has started pulling, and not heeling!
I twisted my ankle the other night!

yeh i always resort back to clicker training if indie forgets things or isnt paying attention. So today i would call her name and everytime she looked at me, i would click, hold the treat by my side and say 'good heel' or something and keep praising her, then after a few more steps give her a treat. I do try and increase the time between the click and the treat but she loses focus so have to give her the treat b4 she forgets what shes getting it for.lol.

oh and i use cheesestrings cos i can easily hold the stick in my hand and bite bits off when needed, which means indie looks toward my mouth for food and pays better attention. i believe.
