My carrots

Hubby has just pulled some carrots for lunch tomorrow.
They are grown in bags and I was expecting small, baby carrots.
But look at the first one he pulled The others weren't quite so big but still decent sized carrots.

You can see the bags behind, to give you an idea of where they were grown.

That's a very decent size, good for you! Do you grow them in bags to prevent carrot fly damage?

Thanks
No it's more because we don't have enough garden space to grow then in the ground. It does help prevent carrot fly though.

That looks delicious! I was almost expecting it to be one of those rude shaped veggies you used to see on "That's Life"!

Well Done!!

I grew some carrots last year... and they were little tiny things

I only had enough for one meal once they were scraped !!!

Thought that I would try again this year, and they were doing okay, and suddenly they all started dying.

Couldn't understand why???? Until I saw my daughters kitten using them as a toilet !

That's a brilliant carrot, we might try growing in bags too next year, our veg garden is full of mice and voles and we have carrot fly, slugs, and loads of other pasts too, OH tried growing the potatoes in bags and it worked quite well.
