Tamron lens

I spoke to Jessops today regarding a lens adapter ring for my 350D, according to the guy they're not available.
While I was on the phone I asked him if they still do the Tamron 28 - 300 macro lens, as I could'nt find it on their web site.
He said you have to order the lens, it's still on their price list so it's still available.
I then asked what the price is now, as I got mine when the 350D was launched 4 years ago, he said £485 now I only paid £200 when I got it, that's inflation for you.

I think some lens hold their value well, and some like in your case even go up if they are well in demand! :smt023 and the supply can't meet it.

No way would I pay that for a Tamron !! My dedicated PRIME lens didn't cost that lol

Ah well ...I suppose you get the added bonus of a zoom as well as a macro but my Tamron (70-300) only cost me £160 a few weeks ago (I needed to get a replacement for the one that I accidentally killed )

That's about the average price for the 70 - 300,
but my one is the 28 - 300.

I think my point really is that if I were going to spend that sort of money, I would go for a prime rather than a multi function lens ....

(PS wish I DID have that sorta money for a lens LMAO)

PS: it's a fixed focus lens, not a zoom, still overpriced IMO.
