Kennel Club Activity Register

My Dalamtian pup is a rescue, I don't know his sire and dam or where he was bred, he isn't breed standard as he has a patch over his eye.

I am thinking about registering him with the Kennel Club Activity Register and have a few questions

1. Is the joining fee a one off thing or do you pay every year?

2. Would I still write his breed as Dalmatian even though I don't know/can't prove his parentage?

It is a one off fee, put Dalmatian down---sometimes they accept breeds sometimes they don't!

What are you going to do with him that needs the registration? I am going to have to think of a name for Etta before July and the HTM show!

1. one off fee
2. Dalmation should be fine, just put "unknown" in his sire & dam.
3.youll need to come up with about 4 names! & DONT tick the box letting them chose one!

Yes, hun, it's a one off fee and you don't need proof of his breed, we don't have proof that Jack is a Border Collie as he is rescue and it still comes up with Border Collie for him

Thank you everyone

I am thinking of doing Agility, maybe Flyball if he enjoys it and I interested in the Working Trials, also going to do carriage dog/road dog trials with him

I really wish I had done something with my lad Sam when he was younger so Cooper gets to do it instead

Hmm need to get name thinking then! Maybe I will make a thread to help as I have only ever done registered names for horses (and it usually takes me about 4 months to decide on one )

Ooops, just been a double checked his certificate and you're right, he's down as Working Sheepdog

Well, it was a few years ago now and the old memory isn't what it used to be
