Well said & good on you!

We all KNOW that training takes time & effort, but in reality many want a quick fix, or will pass the Dog on (or worse)
In such cases one to one sessions with a trainer using the collar on a regular basis can encourage the owner into seeing the Dog can behave differently .

Sadly people will not put time & effort in, unless there is an issue. Then they go to the "experts" hand over bundles of cash, just to be told to do what they should have done in the 1st pace....& be watched while they do it.

Just to clarify, I don't like ANY gadgets being used when "proper" training removes the need for them
I basically agree with this, I'm not a huge user of prongs (because I specilise in off lead stuff) but have seen them make a real difference to certain dog/human combinations.

With regards to the owner should train from the start so the dog won't need it.
Many dogs are rescues, many dogs are brought when the owner doesn't mind pulling but an injury or illness changes that, also many dogs don't respond to the methods you promote.

Smokeybear who posts here uses them and she is a good sports trainer promarc, the only advantage I see by taking longer is it makes more money for the trainer. Smokeybear says they don’t hurt, have you ever been shown how to use one?

Since when has the fact that someone posts on here and SAYS something doesn't hurt been reason for a post???

If we all thought that was important we'd believe you wouldn't we LOL.
