scent training

how do i teach my coonhound how to follow a certain scent ?we would like to teach her to be able to track us down if we hid from her .

I'm sure theres a scent training seminar in Perth in July, maybe if you google it you'll find a seminar near you.

I've used the Dildei approach to teach tracking for IPO and Obedience and Steve White's operant SIAB method with some others. In both cases we had success. SIAB had a flat learning curve with a steep acquisition while Gottfried Dildei's approach had a slower progression. In the end the performances where essentially the same.
