I dunno he's too clever by half so maybe he can, the female is as good as gold but he's a little devil. He threw his water all over the floor yesterday having a bath and when I slipped in it nearly doing the splits he laughed his little head off

Benign neglect is my rule with orchids. I have one at least 12 years old in the conservatory but it is not the Phalaenopsis type. The more usual ones are out of direct sun. I plunge them in water once a week or when I remember and wipe the leaves with a damp paper towel.
